Little Fountains of Light Learning Center is a bi-lingual Christian school. Our students are introduced to Christian values and the love of Jesus on a daily basis. The school incorporates the WEE LEARN curriculum to help guide our Christian instruction.
Learning is very multi-faceted, that is why LFOL uses many different techniques and approaches to learning in order to ensure each child is able to grow in their understanding across various domains. Knowledge can be attained in many formats, the brain of the young child is prime to process information. Taking advantage of this window of opportunity, Little Fountains of Light implements the Frog Street curriculum. It is a national, bi-lingual curriculum presented and carried out in a continous format, from the infant stage at six weeks to the age of Kindergarten readiness and beyond. Frog Street is aligned with Florida standards.
Nemours Bright Start is a supplemental curriculum used at Little Fountains of Light to help reinforce our student's early literacy skills. Its is a research based program that has proven results in the area of early literacy.
LFOL believes character development is at the forefront of education and look to the Bible for guidance in this area as well as research based early childhood reasources. Within the Frog Street curriculum are elements of Dr. Becky Bailey's Conscious Discipline, which is a comprehensive classroom management and social-emotional curriculum that helps develop a child's ability to self-regulate.
